The DIVE (DIgitalising Vietnamese Education) project is a 3-year Erasmus+ initiative aimed at helping Vietnamese higher education institutions (HEIs) develop high-quality Digital Education (DE) as part of the modernization of Higher Education promoted by the Vietnamese government.
The project aims to enhance the readiness of HEIs in Vietnam for digital transformation. To achieve this, DIVE has three specific objectives:
To enhance the capacity of Vietnamese partner HEIs for digital transformation.
To support their digital evolution at a strategic level.
To promote awareness building, networking, and the development of digital culture in Vietnamese higher education.
In collaboration with three European universities (Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia, Universidad de Alicante, and the Université libre de Bruxelles) and one international network of higher education (EFMD Global), 11 Vietnamese universities across the country will:
Strengthen their capacities through training and study tours involving senior and mid-level management, support staff, and faculty.
Develop each institution’s strategic plan for its DE transformation.
Implement the plans with the support of dedicated DE centers in each institution.
A national network of Digital Education Pioneers will welcome and support other Vietnamese institutions looking to modernize their courses and programs. This network will establish a Community of Practice, share best practices, and provide training materials. At the national level, a series of three national round tables will raise awareness of the contribution of DE to the modernization of higher education and stimulate a debate on crucial transversal topics, paving the way for replication in other Vietnamese HEIs.
